FC Barcelona to Host First Game at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in La Liga 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
