Space-Based Images Reveal Iran's Naval Forces and Nuclear Facilities Damaged by US-Israeli Attacks.

A series of joint strikes has reportedly eliminated or harmed at least 11 Iran's navy ships since the weekend, freshly analyzed aerial photos demonstrate, with missile bases and nuclear sites also sustaining hits.

Images of the southern Konarak naval military port and the Bandar Abbas installation, which overlooks the Strait of Hormuz and is home to the headquarters of the Iranian navy, reveal black smoke pouring from several ships on recent days.

Maritime Forces Incurred Significant Damage

Among the vessels destroyed was the IRINS Makran, the country's most sizable ship which had been used as a drone carrier. Orbital photos indicated dark plumes pouring from the vessel which had been moored at the Bandar Abbas naval base.

Intelligence assessments indicate that at least five vessels at the port were "damaged or eliminated". Photos of the southern part of the harbor show smoke emanating from the Makran, while two other ships are visibly impacted, with a single one seen burning.

Over at the Konarak base, images show numerous stricken vessels, with analysis pointing to damage to six vessels. Images from the start of the week also indicate that multiple facilities at the installation have been leveled.

"For a long time the Iranian regime has threatened commercial vessels," a senior US military official stated. "Today, there is no Iranian ship underway in the Arabian Gulf, Hormuz Strait or Gulf of Oman, and we will persist."

A number of vessels allegedly destroyed may have been obscured in aerial photos by haze or plumes, or struck at sea, and have yet to be fully confirmed. Other accounts indicated that one Iranian ship was foundering near Sri Lanka's waters, resulting in a search and rescue mission.

Missile Sites and Atomic Facilities Attacked

The destruction of Tehran's launch facilities and the stopping nuclear weapons development were listed as additional aims of the offensive. Satellite images also depicted impacts against the southerly Khorgu and northwestern Tabriz facilities, and at the Konarak air air base, where missile storage facilities and bunkers were hit.

At the Choqa Balk-e drone base to the west of the city of Kermanshah, extensive destruction was seen to storage buildings, underground facilities and drone launch equipment.

Damage was also seen at a radar installation at the Zahedan airbase airbase in eastern parts of the country, close to the border with Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Perhaps most notably, the latest wave of strikes have reportedly focused on installations at Natanz – long said to be at the center of the country's enrichment efforts. An international watchdog commented that the damaged buildings were used for access to the facility's below-ground enrichment facility and that "no nuclear fallout" was anticipated.

Broader Consequences and Analysis

Military analysts indicated that the strikes appeared to have "greatly reduced" the Iran's naval capacity to conduct traditional warfare using its most significant vessels. But, it was emphasised that Iran maintains the option to launch asymmetric warfare at sea through the use of drones, mini-submarines and its so-called "shadow fleet" of tankers.

The overall scale of the damage caused to Iranian military facilities is still uncertain, with hostilities reportedly continuing. Pictures also indicates widespread damage to the main offices of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the city of Tehran.

Numerous of non-military structures also seem to have been damaged in the capital city and throughout the country after the fighting escalated. Reports of deaths from ground sources state that hundreds of non-combatants may have been lost their lives in the strikes.

Amid continuing hostilities, monitoring of aerial photographs will carry on to assess the changing military landscape.
