The incident caused the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Formal charges have been brought against two men following a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A young child was among those injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
